The name 61 South comes from the highway 61 which goes through the Mississippi delta between Memphis and New Orleans. It was born in the Saint-blues Marshall Workshop near the mythic SUN-STUDIO.

There are two versions of the 61 South with different pickup combinations:

• The first one has two "tapped tele-style pickups" providing four sound combinations.

The different volume and tone control combinations allow you to transform a powerful and punchy tone into a clean and crystal-clear one.

The neck pickup produces sounds ranging from "deep blues" to typical 60's sounds.

The 3-way toggle switch allows you to combine both pickups.

• The second one has a "tapped tele-style pickup" in bridge position and one P90 in neck position. It produces a clean sound with more bite in the high frequency range.

Each version is available in three finishes: white blonde, honey blonde and tobacco sunburst.

Body:Double bound, semi-hollowbody, select grain, ash body

Scale length: 25.5"

Pickups: Dual-tapped single coil St. Blues or P90 at neck and tapped single coil at bridge

Neck: Single piece hardrock maple

Frets: Medium size 18% nickel silver

Bridge: Nickel Wilkinson WTB bridge with staggered brass saddles

Tuners: Nickel 15:1 ratio vintage style tuners

UTILIZATION

Fast and pleasant single-piece maple neck, easy access to the upper frets, wonderful guitar!
