Hello everybody, My Washburn is an N4. It's made out of padouk, two pieces for the body and one piece for the neck (like every high-end guitar). It sports the Stephen's Extended Cutaway. Ebony fingerboard, wonderful reversed headstock with six Washburn sealed lubricated machine heads in vintage Strat look (beautiful). Neck dimensions: 1.61" and 2.24" at the 22th fret. This neck is a delight with its jumbo frets. (like a good Fender neck!)

UTILIZATION

Schaller tremolo system... no remarks. Great-sounding Seymour Duncan 59 neck pickup and wonderful Bill Lawrence XL 500 bridge pickup for the original Nuno Bettencourt sound!!! Pinch harmonics couldn't be easier! The combination of both pickups produces a great funk sound! (like on Too late from Mourning Windows or Waiting for the punchline. You get exactly the same sound!)

SOUNDS

Its only disadvantage is that the guitar is a bit too heavy, but what a natural resonance and sustain!!! It's a small price you pay for that. The sound is brilliant and it has a strong character. Other guitars seem to have no personality after playing this N4! You can rest assured that you'll be heard when you play with a band.

This guitar is perfect: well-balanced, easily playable and reliable and has a great sound with every amp. I won't sell mine ever!

Here is a link to my version of It's a monster lool!

So you can hear the fantastic sound of the guitar!

OVERALL OPINION

If you're a Nuno Bettencourt fan don't hesitate to buy it!

Pictures don't do justice to the guitar you have to see it IN REAL LIFE. And try it out, only then you'll be able to understand!!!!!!
