Overall, it’s a great unit and I still love hardware. I remember what it was like 15 years ago when almost everything was hardware and software really didn’t exist. Hardware is making a come back though because people still feel the need to want to have a device they can actually be hands on with and not like a software. I loved the Korg D32XD a...
This problem can be somewhat solved with a USB extension cable, but for a machine of this caliber and cost it should not be necessary to have to resort to such measures. This unit is well worth the pretty penny it cost to purchase, you will love it.
If you are looking for a quick, easy, and cheap way to record your music, at CD quality, fast then check out this unit .It's a great machine, and eight tracks gives me more than enough to lay down two or three voices and still have room for five instruments. The downside or thing that I dislike about the Tascam DP 02cf is that the navigation is ...
I use the Tascam DP 01 FX digital recorder for everything. It is extremely easy to operate and all the mixing can be done on the recorder or the tracks can be exported to other software for further mixing. A great deal for the price. I was able to understand and use this product the first day I got it. Great for beginners and great for more expe...
If you are looking to make great recordings and have a low budget I would highly recommend the tascam port studio 2488 to anyone wanting to get into analog mixing and recording. Unit also isn’t that heavy so you can take it around with your if you need it to be mobile.
The best part of this machine is the high quality recordings it captures. I think it is more or less competitively price, but for being a relatively high powered computer system, it is missing some major features such as the ability to use and edit MIDI tracks. There are also a couple of decisions that seem a little odd regarding the hardware....
This machine has stood the test of time for a DAW, being limited only in its slow, separate CD burner and relatively small hard drive. However, for a cheap project/vacation studio, this is an excellent machine, especially if you can get it for under $150 with the CD burner. Upgrading the OS to the latest version is a great option in order to m...
I would buy it again because it's a very good product for beginners. You can take it anywhere. The price is very appealing since you can record (with drum machine, amp simulation, etc.), mix and export your work.
I used this thing for many years when was into a lot of metal and progressive rock, and it certainly helped me learn a lot of those songs. While there are some software programs that do the same basic function as this device, it doesn't have nearly all the extra features, and they make the experience much better as they really let you feel like ...
I've first used the Yamaha AW4416 multi-track recorder about five years ago and for the time I used it, it worked very well for what I wanted to do with it. This day and age I wouldn't recommend trying to edit audio on this machine, but there are a lot of capabilities that come with the fact that this is fairly easy to bring around. If you are l...
