Avid Pro Tools 9 will give you every thing you need and I mean every single thing you need to do your complete song and master it. If you have a good ear and understand how to mix and master you an do it all your seft right at home. All you need is a decent set of monitors to reference on and you can do it all your self. There is no need to go t...
I've been using the Avid Real tape delay plugin for about a year. Avid plug-ins have been somewhat new to me, but in the short time I have been using them, I have been thoroughly impressed. The Avid Real tape delay plug is one of their best plug-ins. It is easy to manipulate and you can get an array of delay sounds from it. The tap tempo and BPM...
I work in it, there is room for improvement. The 299 upgrade is IMO too high it should be 199.- but it is a necessary evil.
Overall, Protools 9 is bringing the heat to the DAW scene with impeccable attention to detail. you don't even have to have the box connected to finish or continue editing on the go and for me thats Amazing worth every single penny I love it so much, and have no complains about the M Box pro, this is coming from someone who used to use a 888/24 b...
I really like the way that this plug-in recreates the tone of a tape machine. While that's certainly not going to be useful for everybody, it's pretty nice to use when you are working with any sort of retro-themed band, or anything with a folkier, more rustic feel. It can also be used really effectively in electronic music, if you need something...
Avid's Boom! is a nice little drum machine to have as a stock instrument in Pro Tools. One of the main draws to the newer versions of Pro Tools are these virtual instruments like Boom, which actually sounds pretty good and are very useful to have, especially if you're just building your DAW and might not have any other virtual instruments. Boo...
Avid Pro Tools 9 offers up a slew of great features that make the upgrade well worth it. It's more expensive if you aren't upgrading from LE or M-Powered, but for those who are upgrading, or cross-grading, it's definitely worth. Beyond being able to run Pro Tools on your lap top, you get double the amount of voices (now up to 96), double the a...
The Avid Reel Tape Delay plug-in is definitely my favorite in the Avid Reel Tape Suite of three plug-ins. Perhaps it's because I tend to use delay more than I would a flanger or a saturation plug-in, but I really like the full and warm delay tones that I get with this plug-in. I've used it mostly on vocals, but I've also liked the way it sound...
Overall, Avid's Reel Tape Saturation is a nice little plug-in for a number of reasons. Let me start off by saying that I do believe that the only way to get a true 'tape saturation' sound is by actually recording to tape, but when something like that isn't possible and you working in the box, something like the Reel Tape Saturation plug-in will...
The Avid Reel Tape Flanger is overall a pretty awesome plug-in. There's a whole lot that you can do with it, which I really like seeing, especially in a flanger where you usually don't see all that many unique parameters and controls like this one. While it definitely has a warm sound, I don't know that I'd say it has a 'tape' sound per say. ...
