I like some of the sounds in xpand 2, i use them once in a while, but skipping through the sounds is real annoying as it doesn't have a "next" button. you have to go in the list over and over again to pick the next sound. I got the plugin when i purchased protools, its an okay product, but some sounds sound a bit cheap.
Overall, I find that Hypersonic 1 is a very good entry level VST plugin for anybody looking for a quick entry into production. It's accessibility is perfect for the amateur and still has sounds worthy of most productions of a veteran. The only thing I'd have against it is some of the sounds being remarkably tacky and thin, sounding almost midi. ...
Digidesign's Xpand! 2 makes newer versions of Pro Tools (8 and 9) that much more powerful by providing you with an in depth software synthesizer that emulates both electric and acoustic instruments of all types. It's easy to use as gives you a lot of options not only in terms of presets but in how you can affects all of your sounds. The qualit...
I like this program because it has a ton of Indian instruments that aren't usually available in standard instrument voice packages for these types of DAWs or sequencers. This is 100% midi but it has much better sitar, esraj, tamboura sounds than most plugins or instrument banks will, and it has some other Indian instruments that typically get ig...
I've had the GMedia GForce M-Tron for a little bit more than a year and I have to say that I am definitely a fan of this virtual instrument. I think it is a pretty great emulation of the mellotron as it pretty much sounds just like it. It has enough parameters to get all of the sounds that you would be after in a piece of software like this an...
Overall, MOTU Ethno is a pretty awesome virtual instrument because it is capable of getting so many different types of sounds. It contains emulations of world music instruments of all types including instruments from India, China, and all over the world. It contains a 4 GB library in all and really has just about any world instrument that you ...
I definitely love Hypersonic, and use it as my main workstation VSTi. I use it in all my compositions now. Originally posted on FutureProducers.com Posted by: TrakNyce ( 7-, 2005)
If you can't tell already, I love this VST. Works with any program that supports VST's...at least the ones I've used. Combo this with Nuendo and a powerful computer, and you've got urself one bad DAW. I can now spend more time creating, and less time navigating. I love this thing, I just wish Steinberg had focused more on the sounds. Originally posted on FutureProducers.com Posted by: Bigg Mac ( 7-, 2005)
