It was OK. As a backup. Wouldn't want it as my 'main rig' though. I could play over the drummer, and FX sounded good through the clean channel, but not GREAT. It was kind of unreliable too, but that's probably because mine was used so much, and for a great number of years before I owned it. After replacing some POTs, and getting it servic...
I recently picked up this amp on Ebay for a little over 200 dollars. A damn good deal. The serial number denotes it was made in 1998 and I’m cool with that.…very cool. I like older women, guitars, Harleys and amps. I don’t want to start a rush to buy the old England made amps, but if you’re reading this…you already suspect what many of us know. ...
All in all I think this amp is a pretty fantastic way to get those killer eighties tones in the real deal package. Sure it doesn't have the versatility or tweaking functions of some modern rigs, but when you get 'er cranked in the right setting it flat out KILLS. whether you're playing hard rock or more modern stuff with the amp boosted you can'...
The Marshall MG412A is the company's cheapest level cab and is meant to go with their solid state MG100 head, or act as a 4x12 rig for those who can't afford a 4x12 of a higher calibre. It's actually slightly smaller than the conventional 1960 cab which has its pluses and minuses. The lighter weight means that's definitely a little easier to car...
These amplifiers you can find new for right around $2300 or so. That is a decent price for this amplifier and certainly one that might be a little bit out of the budget range of many budgeted musicians. However you can find these all day long used very easily for probably less then half about. I have seen them as low at $100 used so I wo...
You can find these heads for right around $1000 or so on the used market which is the best way to go for these. At new you're looking at right around $2200. So just allow someone else to take the hit on the new price and get this one for just about half the price of the new amplifier. That would be my recommendation because this amplifie...
I can't get past the fact that the amp doesn't deliver enough gain without feeding back. This problem is exacerbated when combined with overdrive or distortion pedals. As a result of this, the amplifier couldn't produce enough gain to meet my heavy metal needs, although it would be an excellent budget amp for someone who plays blues or classic r...
It was a good first live amp and I did keep it for a few years until I eventually sold it. It never went down on me and for the price was the best and loudest I could afford at the time. I play a bit more seriously now. If I were in the market for a similar sized combo, I'd probably go after some kind of Mesa Boogie 2x12.
With the market right now the way it is with people not really purchasing gear as much as they used to be. These amplifiers you can find pretty inexpensively just a few years ago. They are heavily cycled and pretty available if you look throughout many classifieds and especially eBay. If you give enough time you can probably find one tha...
You can find these amplifiers pretty easily and most use classifieds section. It's very common amplifiers and we're heavily circle circulated during its time of production. These are great amps and right now if you can get great deals on used gear because a lot of people are not buying gear these days I would recommend this amplifier to ...
