I couldn't be happier for the price I paid ($100 USD). Got it used from some guy on craigslist. The clean channel on this amp has some of the best tone I've heard come out of a solid state amp. The overdrive leaves a little to be desired, but can be fixed with a pedal of your choosing. My only complaint would be that the spring reverb is not that...
If you have a chance to try out this very expensive amplifier, don't pass it up. This amp is in a class of it's own, when it can leave an industry standard like Mesa in the dust, in terms of tone. I generally try not to get caught up with little details in guitar tone that regular people would not understand, as I would be the first to admit tha...
It was OK. As a backup. Wouldn't want it as my 'main rig' though. I could play over the drummer, and FX sounded good through the clean channel, but not GREAT. It was kind of unreliable too, but that's probably because mine was used so much, and for a great number of years before I owned it. After replacing some POTs, and getting it servic...
Love its size, weight, response and tube-like VOX cleans. Tried numerous practice amps before buying one of these, and my blues - playing father stole it from me promptly once I upgraded to all tube stuff. I have guitar gear OCD, so that's just how it goes.
I liked it a lot! It just wasn't loud enough to play over drummer , so I sold it. I kind of regret that now, because it would have made an excellent bedroom or studio amp when not playing with a drummer.
The thing I like the least about it? Well, the Wah tone is merely 'OK' , and the Pedal Board (control one) feels cheap and slides around on the floor because its too light if you buy that accessory. I broke quite a few MIDI cables because of that. I don't like the menus / sub menu crap to get to certain aspects of it because it...
Volume knob (like on almost all Fender tube amps) gets really loud at '2', which i've heard there is a mod to fix. It's kind of annoying though, because it gets REALLY loud with just a minor adjustment of the Volume knob. That could be an advantage for some, but not myself. I leave it on 2-3 and adjust volume now through the Digitech unit. <br ...
