La Sweet 16 non è una novità in termini di mondo degli ampli. Solo un 16 watt tutti single channel testa tubo. Avete tutti i normali controlli che ci si aspetterebbe. Oh, c'è un interruttore luminoso. Ma io lo uso quasi mai. Nel complesso uno dei più semplici amplificatori che ho avuto un po '. Tipo di rinfrescante dopo aver giocato a commutatori di canale così tanti.
I tour in un morbido rock / indie tipo di band. Think Snow Patrol incontra Coldplay. Avevo bisogno di una potenza inferiore (sì avete letto giusto) la testa per il turismo. In tour Io lo uso con una 2x12 Mesa armadio e di un Gibson ES339 o un Fender deluxe tele. Niente di pazzesco. La mia pedaliera è solo un paio di overdrive e alcuni ritardi. Corro davvero semplice.
Ovviamente questo amplificatore piace guidare la manopola del volume. Si rompe maledettamente veloce con qualsiasi chitarra. Quindi, essere pronti ad utilizzare la manopola del volume per ripulirlo. Io di solito metto il volume a mezzogiorno vicino. Ti dà rottura, ma non una tonnellata quindi va tutto bene. Se ho bisogno di rock (faccio raramente) mi basta usare una casella Zvex di Rock. Mi piace molto come bene questo ampli ha effetti. Ha una bella voce chiara e trasparente. Qualcuno potrebbe dire che è uno trebley po ', ma non sento che come una cosa negativa.
Affidabilità saggia, questa cosa è stata grande. Ottenuto attraverso 5 mesi di tour fino ad ora e spegnendo. Non ci sono problemi a tutti, che per me è raro. Non ho mai avuto problemi con il volume, ma con tecnologia micing oggi non c'è da meravigliarsi. In realtà, si tratta di un amplificatore molto forte a prescindere. Non ho mai dovuto andare dopo mezzogiorno o giù di lì. A volumi più elevati lo fa rompere modo più.
Il prezzo è lì per qualcosa di così piccolo. Ma il tono è lì. Ricevo complimenti ogni notte. Quindi non mi posso lamentare.

But I almost never use it. Overall one of the simplest amps I've had in a while. Kind of refreshing after playing so many channel switchers.

On tour I use this with a Mesa 2x12 cabinet and either a Gibson ES339 or a Fender deluxe tele. Nothing crazy. My pedal board is just a couple overdrives and some delays. I run it really simple.
Obviously this amp like to ride the volume knob. It breaks up pretty darn quick with any guitar. So be ready to use the volume knob to clean it up. I usually put my volume at near noon. It gives you breakup but not a ton so it's alright. If I need to rock out (I rarely do) I just use a Zvex Box of Rock. I really like how well this amp takes effects. It has a pretty clear and transparent voice. Some might say it's a bit trebley but I don't hear that as being a bad thing.
