Overall, very solid program. You can get some good music made in Ableton Live 8 I just don’t really feel the need to use it anymore because my other programs can do so much more than this one can. But I will always hold on to it. I recommend this to a lot of beginners in music programs and mixing and mastering. Or maybe even the “Lite” version o...
I really didn’t feel like I could get a good mix in Ableton Live 7 LE though, just with the mixer plug ins and the compression just really wasn’t too my liking. I had to track out and mix in Pro Tools a lot, but when im in logic or Fl Studio I can usually get a good mix right in the programs and now need to track out. But the speed of Ableton is...
Overall, the improvements that were made from previous versions to ableton 8 are a huge difference. A difference with stability and overall performance. They fixed a few bugs that the program had from version 6 that went into 7. But with Ableton 8 they stopped. Ableton 8 will surprise you!
Overall the program that Ableton has come out with is a solid music production software. But unfortunately I really don’t have a need for it. I never took the time to fully get to understand this program because the other programs that I use outshine this by a long shot. I feel like eventually Ableton will catch up to its competitors like Cubase...
I really like Ableton for writing music on the computer. The song block, looping, and live mixing make it really easy to have a creative flow. As for tracking and mixing a live band, I prefer Pro Tools or Logic. I just think the tracking and mixing layouts are nicer and the programs themselves sound better. Ableton is super nice for electronic m...
The forte of this program is that it's lightweight, flexible, fast, and effective. It's not trying to be a fancy recording suite, although if you so desire it can do a surprising amount in that regard. In a live situation it has no equal. For looping and lightweight synth/beats it's really a no brainer. It's probably best meant to be used by...
I like how easy MIDI editing and sampling is in ableton, i genreally create songs using guitar pro 5 so i just import the MIDI files in choose a sound and im done. then if i wish to edit anything its all at a touch of a button! Also as i got this program for free as a promotion from my local store i have no problems! I have ...
What I like the most is the amazing abilities Live can give a performing musician. First off, they have added a looping device plugin which is absolutely spectacular. I used to own a RC 50, but I sold it when I found out what ableton was capable of. Due to the fact that it is computer based, there is a extremely small amount of latency, but o...
What I like most is the great time stretching ability. I don't know any hardware/software that is better than Ableton at doing this. There are a lot more things I love, but I could go on forever. What I don't like, well, I wish there was an option to setup midi control buttons to operate whatever track is highlighted. Instead, you have to as...
I've been using Abelton Live Lite 7 for around three years and it is useful as much as it is interesting. Live 7 is aimed at users who want to set up tracks to use in a live setting. This means for loops, samplers, or anything else you would want to use it for. It is also capable of being your standard digital audio workspace and has all of the ...
